If you want something you’ve never had, you’ve got to do something you’ve never done.
Looking at these pictures from Christmas 2013 was a nice reminder to get considering where I am in my life right now. It’s good to remember that I’ve always had the mentality of taking risks and doing things that I’ve never done before.
When I posted these photos I was in the middle of running one of my business projects called Shopinharmony. The idea was that I loved shopping in boutiques, but they were hard to find in Miami. In the Bay Area I knew where all my favorite boutiques were. Here I had to find them. I would be out an about doing something else and I would stumble upon a boutique.
Shopinharmony was going to be an app that would have a curated list of boutiques in cities everywhere. As long as you had the app if you were near a boutique it would notify you. The boutiques would have the option to send special offers to users that were close by.
I stopped working on the project for many reasons, and pivoted into something similar, and what I thought would be more scalable. Turns out it wasn’t! Oh well. You live and you learn.
