YAY! This post comes at a time when I have not experienced something horrible. Just like my last blessings post, I’m simply feeling overwhelmed with gratitude and feel compelled to share! Today during my meditation I decided to end it by saying thank you to specific family members.
My grandparents on my dad’s side. Both now passed, they loved each other so much.
Everyone always talked about their love. Even decades after my grandmother passed my grampa would still tear up and smile at the thought of her. I’m happy they are together again. I know my ability to love, and desire to have an amazing life long love comes from theirs. #sograteful!
Also, my grandmother on my dad’s side was amazing in the kitchen, I get that from her combined with my dad and my mom.
I also thanked my grandparents on my mother’s side. Grampa for teaching me that it’s ok to be super curious. He always answers any and all of my questions. Since he is not that into computers and Google, he doesn’t care that I treat him like my personal encyclopedia 😂.
My grandmother on my mothers side has given me and my family strength. Without her making the choices that she did, my mother, me, and my life would not be what it is.
My grandmother’s parents, my great grandparents, for all intents and purposes, disowned my mother when she decided to get married and have children with a man of color.
My grandmother took their side and her relationship with my mom and her children, including me was affected. We had to be strong as a family and stand on our own.
I also thanked all my ancestors that have passed knowledge down to me, and as I finish up this quick lil digital representation of what I did this morning, I would like to add that I’m thankful for you.
Thank you for reading my blog! I hope you have a great day.
Besos,
