BOOM. A word I use often. It really has a nice effect to describe how I feel about a moment. A moment that deserves a boom is like the period to the end of a sentence. It’s like the doneness of a project. Instantaneous finality. Apparently, it comes from the Dutch word bommen, the word for bombs, which has “imitative origin” LOL I can only imagine that means it was a sound that occurred naturally and humans decided to imitate it. #boom the Dutch, my people, inventing language.
Here are some of my boom moments from November 2013.
#boom. Shooting guns in Texas. I mean they have one range per every 1,000 mile. Is that a lot? 🙎🏽 I spent time in Texas growing up visiting my grandparents. We would go to church, and it was where my grampa taught me how to operate, and shoot guns. He always stressed safety first. I remember my first time shooting. It was fun! BOOM.
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM! I felt like I was in a movie.
#boom. I also was in full business mode at this time of my life. StudioMIA pulled off our first photo shoot. It was a big deal.
#boom. My birthday. Which brought shoes and scotch!
The shoes have a funny story behind them. While I was in Texas I went out and met a girl. She was wearing these super cute shoes! I, of course, complimented them and asked her where she got them. She told me and I went on my phone, found them, and purchased the last pair in my size! By the time I got home from my trip, they were at mi casa! #boom Technology, making things happen.
